Delicious healthy Paneer Pasanda | Healthy Recipe | Ramadan Special 2023 |


 


Paneer Pasanda is a popular vegetarian dish from the Indian cuisine that is made using paneer (cottage cheese) and a rich and creamy tomato-based gravy. Here is a recipe for Paneer Pasanda:



Ingredients:


* 250g paneer (cottage cheese), cut into thin slices

* 2 large onions, finely chopped

* 2 large tomatoes, finely chopped

* 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste

* 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

* 1 teaspoon coriander powder

* 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

* 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder

* 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder

* 1/4 cup cream

* Salt, to taste

* Oil, for cooking

* Chopped coriander leaves, for garnishing

For the stuffing:

* 1/4 cup crumbled paneer

* 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion

* 1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves

* Salt, to taste

* A pinch of garam masala powder




Instructions:



1. To prepare the stuffing, mix together all the ingredients listed under 'For the stuffing' in a small bowl and keep it aside.


2. Take the sliced paneer and stuff a small amount of the prepared stuffing in between two slices of paneer. Repeat the same process for all the paneer slices and keep them aside.


3. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the stuffed paneer slices until golden brown on both sides. Remove from the pan and keep them aside.


4. In the same pan, add more oil if needed and add cumin seeds. Once they start to splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.


5. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute or two. Then, add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.


6. Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder and salt. Mix well and cook for a couple of minutes.


7. Add cream and mix well. Cook for another minute or two.


8. Add the fried stuffed paneer slices to the pan and coat them well with the gravy.



Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or roti.
