Hyderabadi Beef Biryani is a delicious Indian dish that requires some preparation and cooking time. Here's a recipe for making it:

Ingredients:

For the beef:

* 500g beef, cut into 1-inch cubes

* 1/2 cup yogurt

* 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste

* 1 teaspoon red chili powder

* 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

* 1 teaspoon garam masala

* Salt to taste

* 3 tablespoons oil

For the rice:

* 2 cups basmati rice, washed and soaked in water for 30 minutes

* 4 cups water

* 1 bay leaf

* 4-5 cloves

* 2-inch cinnamon stick

* 4-5 cardamom pods

* 1 teaspoon salt

For the biryani:

* 3 onions, thinly sliced

* 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste

* 2-3 green chilies, chopped

* 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves

* 1/2 cup chopped mint leaves

* 1/2 teaspoon saffron strands, soaked in 1/4 cup warm milk

* 1/4 cup ghee

Instructions:

1. Marinate the beef: In a large bowl, mix together the beef, yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt, and 2 tablespoons of oil. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.

2. Cook the rice: In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the soaked rice, bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, and salt. Cook until the rice is 80% done. Drain and set aside.

3. Fry the onions: In a separate pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and fry until they are golden brown. Remove from the heat and set aside.

4. Assemble the biryani: In a large, heavy-bottomed pot, heat the ghee over medium heat. Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, and fry for 1-2 minutes. Add the marinated beef and cook until browned on all sides. Add half of the fried onions, coriander leaves, and mint leaves, and mix well.

5. Layer the rice: Layer half of the cooked rice on top of the beef mixture. Add the remaining fried onions, coriander leaves, and mint leaves. Layer the remaining rice on top.

6. Add saffron milk: Pour the saffron milk evenly over the top layer of rice.

7. Cook the biryani: Cover the pot tightly with a lid or foil and cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes. Remove from the heat and let it sit for 10-15 minutes before opening the lid.
