Here's a recipe for baked potato chap:




Ingredients:


  • 4 medium-sized potatoes, washed and peeled
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Oil for frying



Instructions:


  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the potatoes into thin slices and place them in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake the potato slices for 15-20 minutes or until they are cooked and lightly golden.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried parsley.
  5. Gradually add water to the mixture, stirring continuously, until you have a smooth batter.
  6. Heat oil in a deep frying pan or a wok over medium heat.
  7. Dip the potato slices into the batter, making sure they are fully coated, then carefully add them to the hot oil.
  8. Fry the potato chaps for 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  9. Once cooked, transfer the chaps to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil.
  10. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy your delicious baked potato chaps!
