Here's a recipe for baked potato chap:
Ingredients:
- 4 medium-sized potatoes, washed and peeled
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 cup water
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut the potatoes into thin slices and place them in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the potato slices for 15-20 minutes or until they are cooked and lightly golden.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried parsley.
- Gradually add water to the mixture, stirring continuously, until you have a smooth batter.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan or a wok over medium heat.
- Dip the potato slices into the batter, making sure they are fully coated, then carefully add them to the hot oil.
- Fry the potato chaps for 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Once cooked, transfer the chaps to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy your delicious baked potato chaps!
