Here is a recipe for shrimp biryani that you can follow:



Ingredients:


* 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

* 2 cups Basmati rice, washed and soaked for 30 minutes

* 1 large onion, sliced

* 1 tbsp ginger paste

* 1 tbsp garlic paste

* 2-3 green chillies, chopped

* 1 tsp cumin seeds

* 1 tsp coriander powder

* 1 tsp red chilli powder

* 1 tsp turmeric powder

* 1 tsp garam masala powder

* 1 cup yogurt

* 1/2 cup chopped cilantro

* Salt, to taste

* 3 tbsp vegetable oil

* 3 cups water




Instructions:



1. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and sauté for a few seconds until they splutter.


2. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.


3. Add the ginger and garlic paste and sauté for a minute.


4. Add the green chillies, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala powder. Mix well and sauté for a minute.


5. Add the shrimp to the pan and sauté for a few minutes until they turn pink.


6. Add the yogurt and mix well. Cook for a few more minutes until the shrimp are cooked through.


7. Add the soaked rice to the pan and mix well with the shrimp and spices.


8. Add 3 cups of water and salt to taste. Mix well.


9. Cover the pan with a tight-fitting lid and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.


10. Once the biryani is cooked, garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
