How to make delicious beef biriyani restaurant style | Healthy Recipe | Ramadan Special 2023


 


Beef biriyani is a flavorful and aromatic dish that originates from the Indian subcontinent. The following recipe will guide you on how to make a delicious beef biriyani:



Ingredients:


*1 kg beef, cut into bite-size pieces

*2 cups basmati rice

*4 cups water

*1 large onion, sliced

*3-4 cloves of garlic, minced

*1-inch piece of ginger, minced

*2-3 green chilies, chopped

*2 tablespoons biriyani masala powder

*1 teaspoon turmeric powder

*1 teaspoon red chili powder

*1/2 cup plain yogurt

*1/4 cup chopped cilantro

*1/4 cup chopped mint leaves

*Salt to taste

*Oil for cooking



For the biriyani masala powder:




*2 teaspoons cumin seeds

*2 teaspoons coriander seeds

*1 teaspoon fennel seeds

*1 teaspoon black peppercorns

*1 teaspoon cardamom pods

*1 teaspoon cloves

*1 cinnamon stick




Instructions:



1.Soak the basmati rice in water for 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.


2.In a dry pan, roast the cumin seeds, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, black peppercorns, cardamom pods, cloves, and cinnamon stick until fragrant. Allow them to cool and then grind them into a fine powder.


3.Marinate the beef with biriyani masala powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, yogurt, cilantro, mint leaves, and salt. Mix well and let it sit for at least an hour.


4.In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions, minced garlic, minced ginger, and chopped green chilies. Fry until the onions are golden brown.


5.Add the marinated beef to the pot and stir well. Cover and cook for 30-40 minutes or until the beef is tender.


6.In a separate pot, bring the 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the soaked basmati rice and some salt. Cook until the rice is almost done.

7.In a large oven-safe dish, layer the cooked beef and rice. Start with a layer of rice, then add a layer of beef, and repeat until all the rice and beef are used up.


8.Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.

9.Remove the dish from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.



Your delicious beef biriyani is now ready to serve! You can garnish it with some fried onions, chopped cilantro, and mint leaves before serving. Enjoy!
